LootUp is legit. It is a real get-paid-to site run by Adscend Media LLC, and it pays by PayPal, gift card or crypto, with cash outs from $1. It is worth a try if you want small, quick payouts for surveys, offers and Android games. Skip it if you want an iPhone app or bigger rewards, because LootUp says its surveys pay up to $5 and its terms promise no level of earnings.
LootUp at a glance
PayPal, gift cards and cryptoLootUp pays you in points for surveys, offers, games, videos and cash back shopping. Every 1,000 points is worth $1, and you trade them for PayPal cash, gift cards or crypto.
Good to knowThe $5 bonus is not paid for signing up. You get it after you earn 10,000 points, which is $10, from paid tasks in your first 30 days.
See LootUpWe checked every number in this review against LootUp’s own site, help center, terms and Google Play listing for this update. Still deciding where to spend your spare minutes? Start with our list of the best money making apps.
Is LootUp legit?
Yes. LootUp is a real rewards site, not a scam. It is free to join, and it is operated by Adscend Media LLC, the company named in its privacy policy and listed as the developer of its Android app. LootUp’s video feature runs on PixelPoint.TV, which it describes as its own video platform.
The ratings back that up, with one thing to know. LootUp’s homepage quotes 4.3 on Trustpilot and 4.5 on Google Play. The listings themselves showed slightly lower scores when we checked.
| Where | Rating | Based on |
|---|---|---|
| Google Play | 4.2 out of 5 | 45.2K reviews and 1 million+ downloads |
| Trustpilot | 4.0 out of 5, rated Great | 11,242 reviews |
| Apple App Store | No rating | LootUp’s app is for Android only |
Ratings as shown on each listing when we checked for this update. They move over time.
Legit does not mean easy money. Four catches come up in LootUp’s own rules.
- Pending and reversed points. Most offers credit right away, but LootUp says the biggest ones can be held for up to 14 days. It can also take points back for rushed surveys, repeat app installs or returned purchases.
- Suspensions. One account per person, and no VPN or proxy. LootUp says there is nothing more it can do once an account is suspended for breaking those rules.
- Identity checks. You may be asked for a selfie before a withdrawal goes through.
- Free points alone will not cash out. Each withdrawal needs at least 1,000 points earned from offers, videos or surveys.
Trustpilot’s own summary of recent reviews lands in the same place. People like how easy the site is to use and how fast rewards arrive, and some are unhappy about payments stuck on pending.
If those trade-offs sound fine, LootUp is worth a look. If you would rather start with a bigger name, Swagbucks shows more than $706 million paid to members on its own counter.
Is LootUp safe?
Signing up takes an email address, a username and a password, and you confirm you are 18 or older. Nothing on the form asks for payment details. Expect checks later. You verify your PayPal or BitPay email before your first withdrawal, and you may be asked for a selfie.
LootUp’s terms also let it run identity checks through outside providers and share your documents and image with them. The Google Play listing says the app may share personal info, financial info and app activity with third parties. Read the privacy policy first if that matters to you.
What is LootUp and how does it work?
LootUp is a get-paid-to site, often shortened to GPT. It lists surveys, offers, games, videos and shopping deals from its partners, and it pays you in points for each one you finish.
- Join. It is free, and you need to be 18 or older.
- Earn points. Take surveys, complete offers, play games on Android, watch videos or shop for cash back.
- Redeem. Every 1,000 points is worth $1. PayPal and gift cards start at $1, and crypto starts at 5,100 points.
The LootUp app
LootUp runs on its website and in an Android app. The app is listed on Google Play as LootUp: Easy Cash Rewards, from Adscend Media LLC, with more than 1 million downloads. It is the only place the Play Games feature works. LootUp does not list an iPhone app, so on an iPhone you use the website in your browser.
Ways to earn on LootUp
LootUp’s site and help center describe nine ways to earn besides referrals. Here is what each one involves and what LootUp itself says about the payout.
| Way to earn | What you do | What LootUp says it pays |
|---|---|---|
| Surveys | Fill in your profile, then answer the surveys you match | Up to $5 per completed survey, plus 50 points for finishing your profile |
| Offers | Try apps, products, services and quizzes on LootUp’s offer walls | Varies by offer. Most credit instantly, and the largest can take up to 14 days |
| Games | Install new games through the Android app and play | Points for the time you play. First-time installs only |
| Videos | Watch playlists and ads on PixelPoint.TV with your LootUp login | Up to 9 PixelPoint points per 3 ads, which you transfer to LootUp |
| Cash back | Start at LootUp’s shop page, then buy as usual | A percentage that varies by brand. Points release 45 to 90 days later |
| Deal Finder | Add the Chrome extension for cash back and coupon codes | Cash back on qualified purchases at up to 50,000 brands |
| Daily Loot Chest | Log in and open one chest a day | Free points, up to 5,000, with bigger prizes as you level up |
| Contests | Enter free giveaways, or rank in the weekly and monthly contests | The monthly offers contest pays a winner up to 100,000 points |
| Promo codes | Enter the codes LootUp posts on social media | Free points on Tuesdays and a points multiplier on Fridays |
One account covers all of them. Start with the surveys and the daily chest, since neither needs a purchase or an install.
Surveys
Surveys are the steadiest way to earn here. Complete your profile first. It pays 50 points, and LootUp uses it to match you with surveys. LootUp says its surveys pay up to $5 each.
You will not qualify for every survey, and how you answer matters. LootUp says survey credit can be reversed for speeding, picking the same answer down a column, typing gibberish or giving inaccurate answers. Take your time and keep your profile current.
Offers and games
Offers are where the larger payouts sit, and where patience matters most. An offer pays only when you finish every step in its description, so read it before you click. LootUp says most offers credit instantly, some take up to 24 hours, and the largest can sit pending for up to 14 days. If an offer has not credited after 24 hours, you can file a ticket from your points history page, so keep your confirmation emails.
Games work only in the Android app. You are paid for time spent in games you have never installed before, and LootUp warns that leaving a game open without playing can get you blocked. If games are the main reason you are here, Testerup pays for reaching goals inside mobile games, and one goal can pay over $200.
Videos, cash back and the Deal Finder
Videos run on PixelPoint.TV, which used to be called Hideout.TV. You log in with your LootUp details, watch playlists with ads, and move the points you earn to LootUp up to five times a day. LootUp says the average user earns up to 9 PixelPoint points for every 3 ads watched, and nothing when no ads play. Treat it as a small extra, not a main earner.
Cash back works like any shopping portal. You start on LootUp’s shop page, click through and buy. Points stay pending until the brand confirms the order, which LootUp says takes 45 to 90 days for most brands, and using a coupon code at checkout can cancel the cash back. Cash back deals are not offered in every country. Before a big purchase, compare the rate with the one in our Rakuten review.
The Deal Finder is a Chrome extension that does the same job while you browse. LootUp says it covers cash back at up to 50,000 brands and adds coupon codes at checkout. It sits alongside other shopping browser extensions that do the same job.
Free points: loot chests, promo codes and contests
LootUp hands out free points in four ways. The Daily Loot Chest is one free chest a day with up to 5,000 points, and the prizes grow as you level up. Promo codes go out twice a week on LootUp’s Instagram, Facebook and X pages at 11 a.m. Central, with free points on Tuesdays and a points multiplier on Fridays. They are limited, so the early claims win.
Giveaways are free to enter. The weekly and monthly contests rank members by the offers and surveys they complete, and the monthly offers contest pays a winner up to 100,000 points, which is $100. One catch applies to all of it. Free points do not count toward the welcome bonus, and you cannot cash out on free points alone.
How the LootUp $5 welcome bonus works
LootUp advertises “$5 on us” to new members. It is real, but it is not paid for signing up. These are the conditions on LootUp’s welcome bonus page.
- Earn 10,000 points, which is $10, within 30 days of signing up.
- The points must come from offers, surveys, games, video redemptions, cash back shopping or partner offer walls.
- Points from giveaways, contests, Loot Chests, promo codes and free start-up points do not count.
- The $5 arrives as 5,000 points within 24 hours of reaching the goal.
So the bonus is a 50% top-up on your first $10, not free money at the door. If you want a bonus up front, compare it with these free sign up bonus offers.
The LootUp referral program
LootUp pays you a share of what the people you refer redeem. Its referral program page sets the rate at 10%, rising to 20% once your referral commissions pass $100. Its FAQ and app listing still say up to 15%, so check the Referrals page in your account for the rate that applies to you. Commissions release only when your referral cashes out. LootUp also bans paying people to sign up, bidding on its name in ads and spamming your link.
How LootUp pays you
Every 1,000 points is worth $1. You can cash out three ways.
| Reward | Minimum | Fee | LootUp’s stated timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| PayPal cash | $1, or 1,000 points | None | Within 2 business days |
| Gift cards | $1 | None | Within 2 business days |
| Crypto via BitPay | $5.10, or 5,100 points | 1% | Usually 1 to 2 business days, up to 5 |
LootUp’s homepage shows Visa, Amazon and Walmart among its popular redemption options. Crypto goes to a free BitPay account, where you pick Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu or another coin it supports. The amount you receive depends on the exchange rate when the payment is processed.
Three rules decide whether a withdrawal goes through. Your PayPal or BitPay email has to be verified in your account settings first. You may be asked for a selfie. And every withdrawal needs at least 1,000 points earned from offers, videos or surveys.
LootUp counts business days, which leaves out weekends and US holidays. If a PayPal payment shows as paid in your points history but never arrives, LootUp says the usual cause is a mistyped PayPal email. How much can you make on LootUp?
We are not going to invent an hourly rate. LootUp’s terms say it does not guarantee any level of earnings, and what you make depends on the surveys you match and the offers you finish. These are the numbers LootUp publishes.
- Surveys pay up to $5 per completion.
- The Daily Loot Chest holds up to 5,000 points, which is $5, and the prizes depend on your level.
- New members get $5 after earning their first $10 within 30 days.
- The monthly offers contest has a 225,000 point prize pool, with up to 100,000 points for a winner.
Read those as ceilings, not averages. The realistic way to see LootUp is pocket money for spare minutes, with the $1 cash out as its real advantage. For a wider look at the trade-off, read our take on whether paid surveys really work.
LootUp pros and cons
- Free to join, with cash outs from $1
- PayPal, gift cards or crypto
- No fees on PayPal and gift card payouts
- Nine ways to earn, including free daily points
- Rated 4.2 on Google Play and 4.0 on Trustpilot
- No iPhone app, and games need Android
- The $5 bonus needs $10 in earnings first
- Large offers can stay pending for up to 14 days
- Points can be reversed and accounts suspended
- You may need a selfie to withdraw
Use it if you want a low cash out, like having PayPal, gift cards and crypto to choose from, and are happy to earn in small amounts.
Skip it if you are on an iPhone and want an app, or you want bigger payouts for your time. A game testing app or a bigger rewards site will suit you better, and three of them are below.
Who can join, and what gets an account closed
You must be 18 or older. If you are younger, our list of surveys for teens has options that will accept you.
LootUp does not publish a list of countries. Its homepage says its tasks and offers are available worldwide, and its privacy policy comes in 13 languages, but what you see depends on where you live. LootUp says its cash back deals do not cover every country, and PayPal payouts depend on PayPal supporting yours.
Accounts are suspended for a short list of reasons, and all of them are easy to avoid.
- More than one account. Each person gets one.
- VPNs and proxies. Anything that hides your real location.
- Disposable email addresses. LootUp blocks them, and the rewards go with them.
- Gaming the system. That includes leaving games open without playing.
The terms go further. LootUp can deactivate an account that does not meet its minimum activity level, and unredeemed points can be forfeited when that happens. The terms do not say how long that takes, so cash out as you go. They also let LootUp close any account at its discretion and change what offers are worth without notice. If you think a suspension is a mistake, you can file a support ticket.
How LootUp compares with other apps
LootUp’s edge is the $1 cash out and the crypto option. Its weak spots are the missing iPhone app and the small payouts. If either one matters to you, these are the three we would look at. All three are free to join.
Testerup pays you to test mobile games, with more than 90 to choose from. You cash out by PayPal, gift card or bank transfer, and it is rated 4.2 on Trustpilot from more than 130,000 reviews.
Good to knowThe big rewards come from reaching goals inside games, which takes real play time. Expect an email code check before a payout.
Try TesterupFreecash pays for playing games, trying apps, taking surveys and shopping, and it has apps for iPhone and Android. Freecash says PayPal and Venmo payouts usually process the same day.
Good to knowIts own site says most users earn from a few dollars up to around $50 in a typical month. The offers that pay best take more than a tap.
Try FreecashSwagbucks pays in points called SB for surveys, cash back shopping, games and offers, and you redeem them for gift cards or PayPal cash.
Good to knowThe $10 bonus on its sign-up page is a shopping bonus. You have to spend $25 at a store in the Swagbucks shop within 30 days to get it.

- Verify your PayPal email, then cash out at 1,000 points. That is $1. Do not let a balance sit.
LootUp FAQs
Yes. LootUp is a real rewards site operated by Adscend Media LLC, and it pays by PayPal, gift card and crypto. It is rated 4.2 on Google Play from about 45,000 reviews and 4.0 on Trustpilot from more than 11,000. The catches are small payouts, pending offers and strict account rules. If you would rather use a bigger name, Swagbucks shows more than $706 million paid to members on its own counter.
LootUp says PayPal and gift card redemptions are processed and paid within 2 business days. Crypto through BitPay usually takes 1 to 2 business days, and LootUp’s FAQ allows up to 5. Business days leave out weekends and US holidays.
The minimum is $1 for PayPal and gift cards, which is 1,000 points. Crypto through BitPay starts at 5,100 points, or $5.10, and carries a 1% fee. Each withdrawal also needs at least 1,000 points earned from offers, videos or surveys.
You get $5, paid as 5,000 points, after you earn 10,000 points within 30 days of signing up. The points have to come from offers, surveys, games, videos, cash back or partner offer walls. Points from giveaways, contests, Loot Chests and promo codes do not count.
LootUp publishes no average, and its terms guarantee no level of earnings. It says surveys pay up to $5 each and the Daily Loot Chest holds up to 5,000 points. If you want bigger single payouts, Testerup pays for reaching goals in mobile games, and one goal can pay over $200.
No. LootUp’s app is on Google Play for Android only, and its Play Games feature works only there. On an iPhone you can use the LootUp website. For a similar site with an iPhone app, Freecash pays for games, apps and surveys in cash or crypto.
Yes. LootUp posts promo codes on its Instagram, Facebook and X pages at 11 a.m. Central, with free points on Tuesdays and a points multiplier on Fridays. The codes are limited in time and in number, and you enter them under Promo Code in the site menu.
LootUp does not publish a country list. Its homepage says its tasks and offers are available worldwide, and you must be 18 or older. What you can earn depends on where you live, and using a VPN to change your location gets an account suspended.
Our verdict on LootUp
LootUp is the real thing: a rewards site with a named operator, a $1 cash out and three ways to get paid. It is also a slow earner with strict rules, no iPhone app and its share of complaints about pending payments. Go in for pocket money, cash out every time you pass $1, and do not count on the bonus unless you would have earned the $10 anyway.
If you want more for your time, Testerup is the pick for games and Freecash is the closest match with an iPhone app.
